Meet Roxanna Zamarripa

01.18.17

Roxanna is a member of UTSA's chapter of the National Criminal Justice Honor Society Alpha Phi Sigma and has a passion for public service.  Roxanna Zamarripa will graduate from The University of Texas at San Antonio in May of 2017, with a double major in Public Administration & Criminal Justice and a minor in Nonprofit Management.  Her goal is to work in public service and hopes to join the Peace Corps after graduating.

Striving to become involved within the institution and the community of San Antonio, Roxanna has contributed immensely from volunteering at homeless shelters to now participating in The City of San Antonio Mayor Ivy Taylor’s Police Community Relations Council.  She has fostered herself in these opportunities to assist others in creating greatness for the community of San Antonio.  Her love of public service flourished from a project during her junior year of high school, where Roxanna became the first student to create a nonprofit organization to her campus called BCHS Locks of Love.  Through this, she learned how an individual’s actions could make an impact on someone’s life.

Roxanna is grateful for all the wonderful opportunities that UTSA has provided.  In the future, her goal is to contribute sizable opportunities to UTSA students as an alum.
