Roger Enriquez, CityLab Summit’s guest speaker on affordable housing

(Oct. 31, 2019) — Director of the Policy Studies Center and Criminal Justice Associate Professor Roger Enriquez was a guest speaker on affordable housing at CityLab DC, a two-day summit in Washington, D.C., organized by The Aspen Institute, The Atlantic, and Bloomberg Philanthropies. The Summit brought together mayors, business leaders, tech innovators, urban scholars, architects, artists, practitioners in public policy, and economists to engage in conversations across dozens of topics focusing on urban innovation. Some of sessions focused on using data to address homelessness; gun violence in cities; climate change; affordable housing; decriminalizing poverty; the impact of technology on health; the digital divide; surveillance in cities; self driving cars; reinvestment into cities; workers that help drive a city’s economy; city regulation about the gig economy; and the cultural impact of music. Enriquez led discussions on affordable housing and the title transfer trap.
